Syncing your Google Business Profile with your CRM allows ZipperAgent to automatically publish listings, open houses, and market reports directly to your Google Business updates. π
Once connected, posts published directly from ZipperAgent will appear on your Google Business listing under the Updates section. π
Each post includes the photo, key details, and a "Learn more" button that directs readers straight back to your own website. π
Below are examples of real posts published seamlessly from ZipperAgent onto a live Google Business Profile:
- π A property listing: Posted automatically when a listing goes active. The photo comes from the listing's own images, and the text carries the status, address, price, and lot size. "Learn more" opens the property page.
- ποΈ An open house: Google treats these as events, so the date and time appear as their own line directly under the title. The reader sees the date and time of the open house without having to read the body text. Times follow the timezone of the MLS the listing came from.
ZipperAgent posts the following to your Google Business Page: property listings, open houses, market reports, and blog content. π
Follow these steps to complete your integration. π
Before You Begin: What You Need to Get Connected βοΈ
Before starting the integration process, make sure you have the following ready. This is worth reviewing on your very first call, as the verification process is entirely handled by Google and cannot be rushed from our side:
- π§ A Google Account: Either a standard Gmail address or a work email address registered as a Google account.
- π’ A Google Business Profile: A profile for your business that is either owned or managed by that Google account.
- β Google Verification: Google must have already verified your profile. Verification typically takes anywhere from 1 to 10 business days (depending on Google) and usually involves confirming your business through its website and physical address.
- π A Real, Verified Location: Your profile must include an active business location. Because ZipperAgent publishes directly to a location, profiles without an established location cannot be connected.
- π€ As an agent: You will want to choose that you are a service provider, then add your personal location. This information will be hidden on your public Google Business page.
- π’ As a broker: You will want to add the physical location of your business address. We can only post to one location per integration.
- βοΈ Email requirement: You must use the email that is connected to your business page to integrate into ZipperAgent.
Integration Steps π
1. Initiate Connection
Once you have logged into your CRM, click on Settings in the upper right-hand side and choose Integrations from the drop-down menu. Next, navigate to your Integrations page within ZipperAgent. π±οΈ
2. Sign In to Google
Locate the Google Business Profile in the Social column and click Connect. A Google sign-in window will appear. π
- If you are not signed in: Enter the email address associated with your Google Business Profile.
- If you are already signed in: Select the specific Google account that owns your Business Profile.
- Note: Ensure you select the correct account if you have multiple Google profiles (e.g., personal and work) signed into your browser, as this is the most common cause of setup issues. β οΈ
3. Grant Permissions
Google will request permission for ZipperAgent to manage your business listings. Click Continue. π
- What this allows: This permission enables ZipperAgent to publish posts, update business details (such as phone number and hours), and verify your profile ownership.
- π Security Note: ZipperAgent does not have access to your Google password, and we cannot transfer or change the legal ownership of your profile.
4. Select Your Business Location
After granting permissions, you will be returned to ZipperAgent to choose your business location. π
- If your profile has multiple branches, select the specific location where you would like your posts to appear.
- Note: Only one location can be connected at a time. If you need to switch locations later, you must disconnect and reconnect the integration.
- If you do not see a location listed, please ensure your profile is fully set up and verified within your Google Business dashboard.
5. Confirmation
Once selected, return to the Integrations page. The Google Business Profile card will now display your business name and account number, confirming the connection is active. βοΈ
How Posting Works π
Once connected, Google Business will function just like your other social media channels.
- π Manual Posting: From the Social Media screen, you can select a listing or open house to publish. You will see a Post Preview showing exactly how the content will appear on Google before you hit send.
- β‘ Automatic Posting: New listings, open houses, market reports, and blog posts will automatically sync to your Google Business Profile based on your existing schedule.
- π Viewing Live Posts: After publishing, use the "View this post on Google" button to see your live update on Google Search and Maps. Please allow a few minutes for Google to process and display the post.
Troubleshooting FAQ π οΈ

| β οΈ "Could not be connected" error | The Google account is correct, but there is no business location associated with the profile. |
| β³ Post is not visible yet | Google is still processing the update. Wait a few minutes and refresh your browser. |
