Before you can sync your Google Business Profile with ZipperAgent, your business must have an active, verified profile on Google.
If you do not have a profile set up yet, follow the step-by-step instructions below. These steps align directly with the Google Business Profile Help Center.
Step 1: Prepare Your Google Account
Make sure you are logged into the Google Account (either a standard Gmail address or a work email registered with Google) that you intend to use for managing your business. This exact email must later be used when connecting your integration inside ZipperAgent.
Step 2: Add Your Business to Google
- Go to the official setup page at business.google.com/add.
- Click Add your business to Google.
- Enter your exact business name. If a matching profile already appears in the dropdown, you can select it to claim ownership. If it does not appear, continue typing and select the option to create a new business.
Step 3: Enter Your Business Details
Follow the on-screen prompts to input your core business information:
- Category: Choose a primary category that best represents your business (e.g., Real Estate Agency).
- Location & Address: Enter your business location based on your role:
- Brokers: If you are a broker with a physical business address, you can add that location. Remember that ZipperAgent can post to one active location per integration.
- Agents: If you are an agent who does not have a physical business address, you must select that you are a service provider so that you will be added as a virtual address without a public physical address. This information will be hidden on your public Google business page.
- Contact Info: Provide your business
Step 4: Complete Verification
Google requires all business profiles to go through a verification process to ensure legitimacy.
- Select a verification option from the choices provided by Google (common methods include phone call, text message, email, or a recorded video of your location).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your verification request.
Verification typically takes anywhere from 1 to 10 business days depending on the method chosen and Google's review queue. For full details on managing and troubleshooting this process, refer to the Google Business Profile Official Guidelines.
